Maria Korolov is editor and publisher of Hypergrid Business, an online publication tracking the development of practical uses of virtual worlds and immersive technology. She has been a journalist for over twenty years, and has reported for the Chicago Tribute, UPI, Reuters, and the Associated Press, and, more recently, a number of technology and business publications. She covered the wars of the former Soviet Union in the 90s, the tech revolution for Computerworld during the dot-com boom, China’s economic transformation as a business news bureau chief from 2004 to 2009, and has been covering immersive technology for the past five years. She also writes for Network World, CIO Magazine, PC World, Internet Evolution, and other business and technology magazines.
