Join us on April 9 for the start of the 4 day VWBPE conference and our amazing line-up of speakers, panels, workshops, sim demonstrations, poster presentations, and more. Our conference covers a wide range of subjects concerning virtual worlds and how we use these for education, virtual reality, smart games, arts and science, and the future of technology.
We are very pleased to announce, as part of this year’s keynote speakers, Philip Rosedale, CEO of High Fidelity, founder of Linden Lab and creator of Second Life. We are also looking forward to having Ebbe Altberg, the new CEO of Second Life, speak at our conference.
Over the coming days, we will feature each of our keynote speakers and their presentations. We also have more to tell you about how we plan to showcase featured panels, exciting social activities, and networking events that will set extraordinary discussions in motion. Of course, this open and free conference would not be possible without the generous contributions of our sponsors.
Our completed conference schedule should be out within the next 2 weeks, but presenters will receive individual assignments within the next few days. For an overview of the conference schedule, please see this link http://vwbpe.org/conference/conference-overview.

With over 70 peer-reviewed presentations at this year’s conference, our anticipation is that you won’t want to miss this year’s WBPE line-up.
If you haven’t already registered for the conference, please do so at Eventbrite.
In this conference, the focus is on how immersive environments have extended the reach of educators to imagine a world without boundaries. To reach out beyond self-imposed constraints and open the doors to new ways of thinking, imagining, expression, and building.
We invite you to bring your best ideas. To reach out and connect with people, not because they are the same, but because they are different. To play in the maze of knowledge that everyone brings to the sandbox which is VWBPE.
