German Reform Education : Past and Present
Apr 7 @ 08:00 AM – 09:00 AM

Host: Santiboy Resident
Description: In Germany, in early 20th century, responding to restrictive schooling, a couple of alternative educational ideas were transferred into operating schools. While differing a lot in detail, most approaches labeled “Reformpaedagogik” developed school communities that were inspired by the idea that students and teachers should develop their own schools and organize both, curriculum and school life around their initiatives. SL Salem School Landschulheim tries to catch these ideals into a modern virtual.
Learn about the ideas of a “Reformpaedagogik” School.
Experience part of day in a Landschulheim (rural school based on the ideas of “reformpaedagogik”).
