Presenter: Mary Stokrocki.  Arizona State University.

Description: The Lizards of ARS, the Latin word for art, functions as a parody improvisational site for visitors to learn about the changing nature of art, and reinterpret its various meanings that range from beauty, preference, significant form, expression, to kitsch, and game.

  • Teach about the changing nature of art. Like a game in constant play, ART transforms itself.
  • Transform the parody play by mask and prop making, reading, writing, and dramatic interpreting, and photographing.
  • Add to the evolving installation:  Click on the giant Lizard face for a play copy, rewrite a character script, and send a mask/prop to the presenter.
